A Love Story That Began in the Bakery Aisle
Some love stories start with a spark; theirs began near the pastry case. Asia and Matt first crossed paths at Publix, where smiles turned into conversations and conversations into something lasting. Years later, on a trip to St. Petersburg, Matt proposed beneath a gazebo — surrounded by family and Florida sunshine — and the rest is a love story told in laughter, shared meals, and the occasional Halloween Horror Nights adventure.
When we met for their engagement session at Bonnet Springs Park, they mentioned they were huge Twilight fans. Naturally, we leaned into the moody Florida light and recreated a few of the film’s iconic scenes. Between the playful posing and nonstop laughter, I could already see how easy their connection was.
The Wedding Day
Fast forward to their midsummer celebration at Tuscawilla Country Club — a serene, oak-shaded venue perfect for their elegant yet relaxed day. Shades of blue, green, grey, and white tied everything together with a classic, natural palette.
The morning began with quiet getting-ready moments: dress details, laughter among the bridal party, and heartfelt first looks — one between Asia and Matt, another between Asia and her dad. Both were filled with emotion that words can’t quite hold.
During the ceremony, Asia’s daughter stood beside them at the altar as Matt gifted her a necklace, symbolizing the joining of their family. The gesture was small and sincere, and it drew tears from everyone in the room.
The Celebration
Dinner was a buffet-style feast, followed by desserts that perfectly reflected their story — mini doughnuts and a wedding cake topped with cats, a tribute to their beloved pets. Even sweeter, the cake came from Publix — the same place where their love story first began.
Then came the surprise that had the whole room cheering: a choreographed first dance that showed off their playful side and set the tone for a dance floor that stayed packed all night. The energy was electric thanks to a stellar DJ and the flawless coordination of Jen from White Rabbit Event Planning, who made sure every detail fell right into place.
Asia moved through the day with her trademark kindness — checking in on guests, laughing with her friends, and still managing to soak up every golden-hour moment.
A Note of Gratitude
Asia and Matt’s wedding was a reminder of why I love this work — two kind souls, one big family, and a celebration stitched together with laughter, doughnuts, and pure heart.
Here’s to the couple who met over cupcakes, danced under oak trees, and made every moment count.
